- Liverpool completed the signing of Joe Allen from Swansea City in a deal worth £15million. The 22-year Welshman becomes manager Brendan Rodgers second signing this summer. The Reds move will triple Allen's wages to £45,000-a-week with £2million signing-on fee.
- Liverpool also consider three more signings with Manchester City's Adam Johnson, Real Madrid's Nuri Sahin and Fulham's Clint Dempsey.
- Robin van Persie is set to play Arsenal's friendly against FC Koln while manager Arsene Wenger hopes to keep his captain at the Emirates.
- Internacional president Giovanni Luigi said Tottenham must pay £45million for striker Leandro Damiao, 22. The young striker is Brazil's top-scorer at the Olympics.
- Luka Modric is set for showdowns talks with Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas. The Croatian's dream move to Real Madrid may slip away.
- Liverpool are planning a move for Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin. The 26-year old Uruguay international could be a replacement for Daniel Agger who is linked with a move to Manchester City.
- Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has snubbed West Ham and Fulham to join West Brom Albion on a season-long loan.
- Craig Bellamy has signed a two-year contract with Cardiff City from Liverpool. The 33-year old winger was on a season-long loan at his home-town club during 2010-11 season.
- Alou Diarra has completed his £2m move to West Ham from Marseille.
- Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini revealed several clubs came up with offers for striker Mario Balotelli but the Italian rejected any transfer move.
- Wolves have slapped a £10 million price-tag on winger Matt Jarvis after turning down £6m plus add-ons offer from West Ham.
- Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill is eyeing a triple move for Tottenham's Jermain Defoe, Wolves striker Steven Fletcher and Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady.
