Delhi win NZ Dutta Roy U21 football tourney, qualify for final round

Haldwani, May 6 (UNI) Delhi emerged north zone champions of the 16th under-21 National Football Championship for Dutta Roy Trophy, beating Uttarakhand 4-2 via tie breaker in the final here today.

The penalty shootout was resorted to after both the sides were goalless in the regulation and extra times.

Delhi got the better of Uttranchal in the tie breaker mainly due to the efforts of their goalie Pranav Rai who effected two saves.
