Delhi thrash Uttarakhand 2-0 in AIFF u-14 football tourney

Goa, Feb 26 (UNI) Delhi kicked off it's campaign in style as it thrashed Uttarakhand 2-0 to take three points in its kitty in the AIFF under-14 football festival at Nehru stadium here today.

Delhi captain Kislay Singh Sajwan put his team in lead as he scored in the first half to make the tally 1-0.

Later, vice-captain Michael Chongthu's goal in the second half sealed the victory for Delhi by 2-0.

Earlier, on the opening day, Delhi and Karnataka shared one point each in a 1-1 draw.

Delhi was leading with the help of Michael Chongthu's goal in the 55th minute but Karnataka scored the equaliser just before the close of the match.
