Delhi takes on MP in Under-16 National Football tourney opener

New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) Delhi will lock horns with Madhya Pradesh on September 16 in the opening match of the 30th Sub-Junior Under-16 National Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy to be played at Haldwani in Uttarakhand.

Apart from Delhi, the opening day will also see Kerala taking on Chattisgarh and Mizoram meeting Orissa, a DSA release stated.

Alltogether 26 state teams, which have been divided into eight cluster, will be partcipating in the the junior championship. The winner of each cluster will qualify for the quarter-final phase of the tournament. The final is scheduled to take place on October 7.
