Delhi qualify for quarter-final in national sub-jr football

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) Delhi qualified for the quarter-finals of the 30th Sub-junior (Under 16) National Football Championship after holding Kerala 1-1 in the last Cluster V league match at Haldwani today.

Clement Adhikari put Delhi ahead in the 23rd minute but Quasher drew level in the 35th minute.

Delhi topped the Cluster V with seven points from three wins and one draw. They had earlier beaten Chhattisgarh 2-0 and Madhya Pradesh 4-1.

Only the cluster toppers qualify for the last eight stage which starts from September 28.
