Chelsea skipper Terry to miss Porto match

LONDON, Mar 3 (Reuters) Chelsea captain John Terry will miss the Champions League knockout game with Porto on Tuesday following his head injury suffered in last weekend's League Cup final win over Arsenal.

Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho said after today's 2-0 Premier League victory at Portsmouth that Terry's recovery would not be rushed just because of their second leg match, which stands at 1-1 after the away leg.

Asked whether the England skipper would be ready to face Mourinho's old club, the Chelsea coach told Sky Sports: ''No chance''.

Though he added that Terry might play in tomorrow's FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur, Mourinho stressed: ''The man comes before the player.

''John Terry's more important than a football result. We don't risk him.

''Medical rules are medical rules and nobody's putting pressure on the number of days or weeks he has to rest for this kind of injury.'' Terry had a second brain scan on Wednesday after the cup final injury. The central defender was knocked unconscious by an accidental kick in the face from French defender Abou Diaby as they went for a loose ball at the Millennium Stadium.
