Dewsbury-Hall Confirms Chelsea's Commitment Unwavering Despite Transfer Rumours

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has assured that his Chelsea teammates remain focused despite ongoing transfer rumours. Dewsbury-Hall, who joined from Leicester City for a reported £30 million, is one of 10 new players at Stamford Bridge this transfer window. The midfielder excelled under Enzo Maresca at Leicester, contributing to 26 goals in their Championship-winning season.

Despite the influx of new players, Dewsbury-Hall was benched during Chelsea's opening Premier League match against Manchester City last Sunday. Maresca continues to streamline his squad, confirming that Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell are among over 15 players not training with the first team. Dewsbury-Hall emphasised focusing on controllable aspects ahead of their Europa Conference League play-off against Servette on Thursday.

Chelsea Unfazed by Transfers

"No, we're in a bubble with it. You can't let that sort of thing affect you," Dewsbury-Hall said. "The only thing we're doing is just going out every day and training as well as we can, getting ready for the matches. Everything that happens outside, it's not up to us. Probably when the transfer window finishes, then it can just be pure focus on the season. Of course, when it's open, you get speculations. We keep rolling."

Maresca's arrival from Leicester marks another managerial change under Todd Boehly's ownership at Chelsea. His straightforward communication style has been noteworthy. Dewsbury-Hall mentioned that the squad appreciates Maresca’s honesty and clarity in decision-making.

"I think people respect him for (his honesty)," Dewsbury-Hall added. "As a player you want to have clarity in terms of what's happening and he (Maresca) is certainly a person that gives you that. I don't think you can have any complaints on that side. I think it would cause more upset in any aspect of life if you're not honest with people. The fact that he is, is a good thing."

The midfielder highlighted the importance of maintaining focus amid external distractions and praised Maresca’s transparent approach as beneficial for team morale.

Dewsbury-Hall’s comments reflect a determined mindset within the team as they navigate through a period of significant changes both on and off the pitch.
