Burnley Boss Scott Parker Frustrated After Another Defeat As Team Loses To Fulham
Burnley manager Scott Parker expressed his frustration after his team suffered a seventh consecutive defeat, losing 3-2 to Fulham. This result leaves Burnley in serious relegation danger. The match began poorly for Burnley when Quilindschy Hartman failed to defend a corner, allowing Emile Smith Rowe to score early. Despite Lesley Ugochukwu's equaliser, Fulham regained the lead with Calvin Bassey's header.
Fulham's Harry Wilson played a crucial role in the match, assisting two goals and scoring one himself. His performance was instrumental in Fulham's victory at Turf Moor, their first since 1951. Oliver Sonne managed to score his first goal for Burnley, creating a tense finish, but Fulham held on. Parker lamented the defensive errors that have plagued his team throughout the season.

Parker told Sky Sports, "It feels like deja vu." He acknowledged the effort of his players but highlighted the recurring defensive mistakes that have made survival in this league challenging. "These boys are giving me absolutely everything," he said. "But the facts are, in key moments, we're giving ourselves a mountain to climb."
Fulham's win moved them up to 13th place, seven points clear of relegation. Marco Silva recognised the significance of this victory as it marked their second away win of the season. Speaking to BBC Sport, Silva said, "It's a big one. It's a difficult place to come." He acknowledged how teams on a losing streak are desperate for change.
Silva also praised Harry Wilson's outstanding performance. Wilson has been in excellent form, scoring seven goals in his last eight matches for club and country. Silva commented on Wilson's maturity and responsibility: "What a performance from him. He knows we need him."
The loss leaves Burnley five points away from safety in 19th place. Parker emphasised the need for improvement: "In this division, it's proven very difficult; we need to fix up on that." The pressure mounts as they strive to avoid relegation.
As Fulham celebrates their success and moves further from danger, Burnley faces an uphill battle to secure their Premier League status. The team's defensive frailties remain a significant concern as they look ahead to upcoming fixtures with hopes of turning their season around.
