Budweiser partners with SAAP for premier league

Hyderabad, Nov 7 (UNI) Budweiser today reaffirmed their commitment to the promotion of football in India by announcing their partnership with the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP).

Budweiser will be the title sponsor of the 'SAAP Budweiser Premier League cum Super League and Knockout invitation prize money football tournament', which is kicking off tomorrow,'' a SAAP spokesman here said.

This year's tournament will have 12 of the best teams in Hyderabad, including State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of India, Hyderabad Sports and South Central Railways, competing for top honours and cash prizes ranging from Rs 5,000 to 25,000.

All matches will be played at the Gymkhana Grounds in Secunderabad, the spokesman added.

Since its launch last year, Budweiser has been promoting football at both professional, amateur levels. In the 2008 edition of the Santosh Trophy, it was the official sponsor of the Goa state team.
