Beckham's Father Christmas goes bankrupt!

London, Jan 8: Ace footballer David Beckham's Santa Claus has gone bankrupt despite a 25,000 pounds Christmas box from the football star.

Beckham had hired Rex Friend to be Santa Claus and present Christmas gifts to his family on Xmas Eve.

But now, Friend faces a drab look after he declared himself insolvent at Bristol County Court.

Rex, 60, has been working as a professional Santa for 30 years with his own custom-built sleigh and also has a printing firm in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, reports News of the World.

He blamed his bankruptcy over to his "failing health".

However, Rex will soon be vindicated from the bankruptcy tag just before the arrival of Christmas this year.
