Beckham to start for Real against Real Sociedad

MADRID, Feb 10 (Reuters) David Beckham was included in the starting lineup for Real Madrid's league match against Real Sociedad at Anoeta today.

It is only the sixth time the former England captain has been named to start a match in the club's 22 league matches this season.

Coach Fabio Capello had said Beckham would never play for Real Madrid again after the midfielder announced he would be joining MLS side LA Galaxy at the end of the season.

But the Italian backtracked on his decision yesterday, saying the 31-year-old's professional attitude in training had persuaded him to change his mind.

Beckham's last appearance for Real was as a substitute in the 2-0 defeat by Deportivo Coruna on January 7 a few days before announcing he had signed a five-year deal with LA Galaxy worth 250 million dollar.

Capello is under heavy pressure after four defeats in the last six league games.
