Beckham included in Real squad to face Zaragoza
MADRID, June 8 (Reuters) David Beckham has made the Real Madrid squad to play at Real Zaragoza tomorrow after making good progress on an ankle injury, coach Fabio Capello said today.
''He hasn't trained with the rest of the team this morning, he's only been running. He says it hurts a little but he is okay and that he will be there tomorrow,'' Capello told a news conference.
The LA Galaxy-bound Beckham injured his left ankle during England's 3-0 win over Estonia in a Euro 2008 qualifier on Wednesday and was substituted midway through the second half.
Beckham's performances for England against Brazil and Estonia over the last few days drew praise from the Italian.
''He played like he has been doing for Real Madrid and has been a key figure in both games,'' he added.
If results go their way, Real could wrap up the league title tomorrow for their first major trophy in four years.
Real top the Primera Liga with 72 points, ahead of Barcelona due to their superior head-to-head record, with two games left.
Sevilla are two points behind in third place.
''There is no euphoria in the camp because we haven't won anything yet. We know we could do well but there isn't over-confidence, just concentration,'' Capello said.
''Zaragoza also need to win because they are going for a UEFA Cup place and will not be able to relax. Psychologically it will be tough for both teams.'' REUTERS BJR RK1904
