24th National Bokaro Steel Cup football begins at Bokaro

Bokaro, Nov 28 (UNI) The Railway football club of Kolkata defeated the Dhanbad eleven on the first day of 24th national Bokaro Steel Cup football tournament began here today.

The Jharkhand team lost the match with 5 goals.

The West Bengal team made 6 goals against its rival Dhanbad eleven.

About 16 teams will vie for the honours in the tournament.

Around eight national and international referees had been appointed by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to conduct the tournament.

The Bokaro Steel Plant would spend about Rs 20 lakh for the event and the final match would be played on December 9.
