Yuvraj powers India to series win, Saurav sparkles again

Visakhapatnam, Feb 17 (UNI) Blistering half centuries by Robin Uthappa and left handers Saurav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh helped India to secure a series-clinching victory over Sri Lanka in the fourth and final ODI at the ACA-VDCA stadium here today.

After restricting Sri Lanka to 259 for seven in 47 overs, largely due to a fighting unbeaten century by man-of-the match Chamarasilva (107 not out), the Indian top order clicked with an out of form Virender Sehwag (46, 44 balls, 7x4) firing at the top of the order along with Robin Uthappa (52, 37 balls, 9x4, 1x6).

Ganguly (58 not out, 74 balls, 3x4, 3x6) and Yuvraj (95 not out, 11x4, 3x6) then took over with scintillating knocks to help India overhaul the target and win the four match series 2-1 after the first match at Kolkata was abandoned.

The duo added 145 in 33.5 overs for the unbroken fourth wicket.

With scores of 62, 48 and an unbeaten 58 today, Saurav Ganguly was deservingly chosen as the man of the series.
