World Team Table Tennis Championships 2024: All You Need To Know About Tournament - India Schedule, Live Streaming

The World Team Table Tennis Championships is a team event for men and women categories separately. The latest edition of which will be staged in Busan, South Korea, from February 16 to 25.

The tournament offers team quotas for the Paris Olympics with all the quarter-finalists in both events set to make the cut. This will be a big opportunity for the 10-member Indian contingent to mark it's feet in the team events as neither men nor women teams has qualified for the Olympics.

A total of 40 teams are divided into eight groups - five in each - with all table leaders will qualify for the Round of 16, while teams placed at second and third will compete in another round to advance to the next stage.

Both the Indian teams reached Round of 16 in the previous edition of the World Team Table Tennis 2022 staged in China. This time they will have to go one notch up to book an elusive Olympics spot.

The Indian men’s team is placed in Group 3 of the eight-pool stage, while the women team is drawn in Group 1.
