World class cricket stadium at Tivim under final stage of approval

Panaji, Dec 16 (UNI) The world class cricket stadium proposed to be constructed at Tivim in North Goa is under final stage of approval, says Finance Minister Dayanand Narvekar.

''The construction of the stadium will take Goa on world sports map,'' Mr Nasrvekar, who is also BCCI vice-president, said while participating in a function at Tivim yesterday.

The Minister also proposed to open a sports academy for Goa to train youth to trigger their sports talent.
