Women's cricket tourney from Aug 12

Lucknow, Aug 3 (UNI) The Sub Junior National Women's Cricket Tournament is being organised at Meerut from August 12 to 20.

Earlier, the tournament was slated from August 5, but it was postponed due to rainfall.

Uttar Pradesh Women's Cricket Association secretary Mohd Nawab said a total of 16 state teams would take part in the event.

The 16 teams would be divided in four pools and the tournament played on knock-out basis, he informed.

The UP team had already been announced.
