Who is Aman Khan? Former KKR player can be CSK's new star after IPL 2026 Auction
Aman Khan is a hard-hitting Indian all-rounder from Mumbai, signed by Chennai Super Kings for ₹40 lakh at the IPL 2026 auction to bolster their domestic core and middle order.
His blend of late-order power-hitting and useful medium pace fits perfectly into CSK's long-term strategy of backing multi-dimensional Indian players. At the 2026 IPL auction, CSK went in early for Aman Khan and sealed the deal at his base price of ₹40 lakh despite brief interest from Punjab Kings.

Who Is Aman Khan?
Born on November 23, 1996, in Mumbai, Aman Khan is a right-handed middle-order batter and right-arm medium pacer, categorised as an all-rounder. He made his List A debut for Mumbai in 2021, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and his T20 debut later in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, gradually building a reputation as a finisher in domestic cricket.
Before joining CSK, Aman turned out in the IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals, where he showed glimpses of his potential, including a battling 51 against the Gujarat Titans that underlined his temperament under pressure. Across 12 IPL matches, he has scored 115 runs, but franchises value the intent and ball striking he brings down the order more than the raw numbers at this stage.
How Aman Khan Could Be A Game Changer for the Super Kings?
CSK's think-tank will view Aman as a versatile middle-order option who can slot in at No. 5-7, accelerate at the death and chip in with a couple of overs if conditions suit. On a Chennai surface that rewards smart batting and change of pace bowling, his ability to adapt to game situations could see him evolve from squad player to impact all-rounder over the course of the season.
