Wet ground conditions delay fourth ODI
Visakhapatnam, Feb 17 (UNI) The start of the fourth and final ODI between India and Sri Lanka was today delayed due to wet ground conditions following overnight dew.
Ground-staff with the help of super soppers were busy cleaning the wet areas in the ground and the umpires will make an inspection of the outfield area around 0920 hrs.
The four-match series was evenly poised after Lanka gained the lead at Rajkot and India neutralized at Goa on Wednesday.
This is the last match for both the the teams ahead of the World Cup beginning in West Indies next month.
Since both the teams were drawn in the same group in the first stage of the World Cup, the outcome of the match assumes importance as the winners would gain psychological advantage ahead of the mega event.
