We failed to convert good start to our advantage: Flintoff

Kanpur, Nov 20 (UNI) England failed to convert the good start to their advantage and paid the price by losing the third one-day International, rued all-rounder Andrew Flintoff.

''It was disappointing the way match went today. We could not capitalise on our good start and also scored only 21 runs in the powerplays,'' he said after the match which his side lost to India by 16 runs under Duckworth-Lewis system to trail 0-3 in the seven-match series.

The all-rounder said the loss of time was another factor but added climatic factors could not be helped.

''We lost a lot of time. But there was no choice in the rough climate,'' he said.

England were 102 for two at one stage, could only build up the score to a modest total of 240 after a delayed start.

About the remaining four matches Flintoff said, ''It won't be easy but we would like to do exactly that. We would like to win all the remaining games,'' he said.
