Waugh twins, Warne in 30 all time ODI Aussie greats
Sydney, Feb 21 (UNI) Seven players in Australia's Caribbean-bound World Cup squad along with yesteryears's Greg Chappell, Alan Border, Mark Waugh and spin legend Shane Warne figure among the top 30 all time Aussie greats to play the shorter version of the game.
Australia's best 30 One-Day International (ODI) players were today revealed in the first process of elimination to identify Australia's greatest ODI team of all time.
The final team of 12 will be announced at the Celebration of Australian One-Day International Cricket function, in Sydney on February 27.
A total of 163 Australian players to have played one-day internationals since its inception in 1971, cast votes for the continent's top cricketers till date.
Adam Gilchrist, Mathew Hayden, Mike Hussey, Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath, Ricky Ponting, Andrew Symonds are among the current lot of players to be included in list.
The 12 players who receive the most number of votes for each respective position will be selected in Australia's greatest ODI team and announced on February 27.
Players have also been asked to vote for the captain of Australia's greatest ODI team; the captain will be the player in the selected 12 who receives the highest number of votes for the role.
