Warne wants to guide young Indian spinners

Mumbai, May 31 (UNI) After making waves in the international arena for 15 long years, Australian leg-spin legend Shane Warne wants to reinvent himself as a mentor for young spinners.

''I could come back as a spin bowling mentor for young spinners,'' Warne told mediapersons after leading the Rajasthan Royals to a thumping 102-run win against the Delhi Daredevils in the first IPL semi-final here yesterday.

The 38-year-old pointed out several spinners currently playing in the DLF Indian Premier League (IPL) as eligible for national selection.

''My teammates Yusuf Pathan and Ravindra Jadeja, Piyush Chawla of Punjab Kings XI and Amit Mishra of Delhi Daredevils all deserve to play at the international level,'' Warne said.

''Jadeja, who has showed his skill thoughout the tournament, I think, is already a rockstar,'' he added. ''Pathan has been picked up for the Indian side and I am proud to have got the best out of him in this tournament.'' UNI AB RKM US1741
