VVS Laxman ruled out; Gilchrist is lead Deccan Chargers

Hyderabad, May 13 (UNI) Deccan Chargers today announced that Australian wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist would be leading the team in the absence of the inured Captain V V S Laxman in the DLF IPL League.

Laxman, who suffered an injury in his right hand during their match against Royal Challengers, Bangalore was ruled out after an MRI scan, the team management said in a statement here.

The team management announced that Adam Gilchrist would take over as the captain for the remaining matches. It also announced Rohit Sharma would be the new vice captain.
