VIVA trounce VASCO 4-1, hat-trick by Anil Kumar

Kozhikode, Apr 1 (UNI) VIVA Kerala thrashed VASCO Goa 4-1 in the second division of the ONGC sponsored National Football League 2007 here today.

With today's victory, the Kerala side which was leading the table with six points, brightened its chances of being promoted to the first division.

P Sujeesh scored the first goal for the winner in the 12th minute followed by a hat-trick from striker Anilkumar in the 47th, 52nd and 69th minutes.

Alvito Rodrigues scored the lone goal for VASCO in the 32nd minute.

After VIVA, Salgaocar Goa are in the second spot with five points followed by VASCO (4) Army XI New Delhi and ONGC Mumbai (2 each) and Chirag United Kolkata (1).

Army XI will lock horns with Chirag tomorrow.
