Mumbai, Mar 16 (UNI) Visa International has launched a new TV commercial that will be aired during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 matches.
Visa is the regional official sponsor and the 'Preferred Card' for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007, West Indies.
Commenting on the commercial, Visa International country manager (South Asia) Santanu Mukherjee said ''We are proud to be associated with a sporting event of this stature and the launch of the Visa Inspiring India TV Commercial voices our support for the game of cricket in our part of the world.'' ''Visa recognises that cricket is a sport that is supported by millions of fans across the country and the region. We hope the commercial helps to symbolise our own support, passion, encouragement and inspiration to fans and to the Indian cricket team,'' he added.
The 30 and 60 second spots of the commercial have been running on TV from March 13 onwards across several leading news, movie, sports, music, English entertainment and regional channels. There are also plans for the commercial to be aired in cinemas across India.
The commercial that was conceptualised and developed by R K Swamy-BBDO opens with the 1983 cricket World Cup heroes communicating Visa's messages of inspiration, encouragement and leadership to Shankar, Ehsan and Loy -- the composers of the music score. Through a musical rendition, the musical trio spread the message that engulfs a stadium full of roaring, passionate fans at the beginning of a game of cricket.
