Vijay, Kapil Dev secure place in Jaypee Greens team

Greater Noida, Sep 29 (UNI) Vijay Kumar and Kapil Dev booked their berth in the Jaypee Greens team for the North Zone regional final of the McDowell's Signature Club Golf Championship here today.

In the intra-club tournament, Vijay, who tallied 35 stableford points, emerged as the winner in the 0-8 category edging out Kapil Dev on a better back nine score on a count back.

The duo were joined by Atul Malhotra and Madhur Daga, winner and runner-up respectively in the 9-16 handicap category.

Both tallied 37 points with Malhotra edging out Daga on a count back.

Also filling in the last two spots of the Jaypee Greens team were Sonel Verma and Moni Bhalla scoring 43 and 41 points respectively in the 17-24 category.
