TN Governor congratulates victorious Indian team

Chennai, Apr 3: Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala on Saturday, Apr 2 congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the Cricket World Cup after a gap of 28 years.

In his message, the Governor said, "I congratulate the Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh for their match-winning performance(s). I congratulate the Indian team coach Gary Kirsten and the Indian team for winning the World Cup 2011 and for their wonderful performance."

Team India's win brought happiness and reduced the tension in the state which is going to hold its crucial assembly election on Apr 13.

All parties are busy in their election campaigns but all political leaders, left the politics beside, congratulated Team India and celebrated the big win.
