'This is for India': Captain Suryakumar Yadav ecstatic after Historic 61-Run Win Over Pakistan

India captain Suryakumar Yadav was all in smiles as the Indian team continued their dominance over arch-rivals Pakistan, this time with another T20 World Cup victory.

Following India's massive 61-run victory over Pakistan in Colombo, Captain Suryakumar Yadav was full of praise for his team's "fearless" approach. After being put in to bat, India reached 175/7, a score SKY believed was well above par for the tricky Premadasa pitch.

Reflecting on the emotional victory, Yadav said, "This is for India. We played the same brand of cricket we wanted to play. The way Ishan batted, he batted the same way (he has been batting in the last few games and domestic cricket). Ishan thought something out of the box. At 0-1, someone needed to take responsibility and he did that amazingly."

The captain also highlighted the resilience shown by the middle order-Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, and Rinku Singh-after a brief collapse.

"There was a bit of a slump but that is the beauty of T20 cricket. The way they (Tilak, Dube and Rinku) batted, it is commendable. As soon as we reached 175, we thought it was 15-20 runs over par," he added.

SKY praise Bumrah, Hardik

Defending the total, SKY credited Hardik Pandya for his opening spell and Jasprit Bumrah for dismantling the Pakistan lineup.

"Hardik took the new ball, taking charge. Bumrah then showed why he is the best in the world. It was great to see everyone contributing. We think about that tomorrow. We go back, have some good time together as a team and think about that when we reach Ahmedabad," the India captain concluded.

With this win, India has officially qualified for the Super 8 stage. The team now moves to Ahmedabad with high spirits having a match against the Netherlands while maintaining their dominant 8-1 World Cup record over their arch-rivals, Pakistan.
