Team Kapil Dev,Raju Punj clinch Madhavrao Scindia Golf Cup

Gurgaon, Mar 5 (UNI) Kapil Dev and Raju Punj strung together impressive rounds of golf to win the fourth Madhavrao Scindia Tournament here.

The winning team returned a tally of 79 stableford points.

The team of MK Trishal and Rajiev Suri finished second with 76 points.

Moni Bhalla bagged the honours in the Best Individual Stabelford (Nett) category with 44 points while Raju Punj finished runners-up in that category with 42 points.

Navina Punj emerged the Best Ladies Individual Stableford (Nett) winner with 31 points, while Kapil Dev tallied an impressive 37 stableford points to win the Best Individual Stablefort (Gross) category.

Kapil Dev fired a 310-yard drive off the tee box to win the Jet Airways 'Bhim Award' for the Longest drive on the 12th hole while three-time Sri Lankan Amateur champion Simarjeet Singh placed his approach shot one feet nine inches from the pin to win in the Relan Group 'Arjun Award' for the Closest to Pin on the eighth hole.
