Team India's performance painful: Sreesanth

Kochi, Mar 29 (UNI) Paceman S Sreesanth, part of the vanquished Team India which was knocked out in the preliminary stage of the ongoing cricket World Cup, has termed the side's debacle performance in the premier tournament as ''painful.'' Briefly talking to reporters today, on arrival at the airport here, Sreesanth, who did not feature in the playing eleven of the team's matches, said the team's performance was more painful than his personal grief at not playing in any match in the Caribbean.

The fast bowler arrived here from Mumbai this morning amid tight police security.

However, Sreesanth, who was reluctant to talk to media, did not reply to questions on match-fixing or lack of coordination in the Indian team.
