Team India in Test mode with 7 members landing in Chittagong
Chittagong, May 14 (UNI) With the last ODI between India and Bangladesh looking like a nonstarter, thanks to a depression in the Bay of Bengal, the visitors are settling into the Test match groove with seven members of the squad including 'rested' Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly arriving here this evening.
According to the Met office, a depression around Bay of Bengal that has intensified into a low pressure zone could mean more rain accompanied by squalls over the next 24 hours.
The conditions would not favour a match in any format as the ground situated near the sea and having a clayey sub-soil makes it all the more threatning.
Besides Tendulkar and Sourav, V V S Laxman, Wasim Jaffer, V R V Singh and Rajesh Power arrived at the port city today evening.
They were immediately wizzed off to the team hotel under a tight security cover.
The members of the ODI squad set to return home are Robin Uthappa, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, R P Singh, Dinesh Mongia and Piyush Chawla. Manoj Tewari is already back with a shoulder injury.
