Team India heads Ceat Cricket ratings 2007-08
New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) Team India has grabbed the top spot in the Ceat Cricket Ratings (CCR) 2007-08 following their 1-0 series victory over England in the second test at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
India with 42 points is way ahead of Sri Lanka at the second place with 30 points while England are placed at third position with 24 points.
However, no Indian is among the top five in the Player Ratings.
Kevin Pietersen of England, with his brilliant knock at the Lord's has taken the lead over the earlier topper, Mahela Jayawardene, by 11 points.
Pietersen is leading with 44 points while Jayawardene is second with 33 points. Another Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara is at the third position with 35 points.
Pietersen also heads the Batting table, following his performances against the West Indian and Indian bowling attack which fetched him 44 points while the second position is taken up by Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara who grabed 34 points.
The Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene is just a point behind.
He also heads the Fielding table with 6 points. The Bowling honours have been bagged by Monty Panesar who has accumulated 34 points while M Muralitharan is at the second position with 33 points.
Zaheer Khan, who took nine wickets at Nottingham, is presently third in the Bowling table with 26 points.
