Team India denies reports of flying back home

Melbourne, Jan 30 (UNI) The Indian cricket team today dismissed media reports that said it had chartered a plane to fly back home in case Harbhajan Singh's racial abuse charges were not lifted.

''I don't know where that came from. There was no thinking like that at all,'' Team India's Media manager M V Sridhar was quoted as saying by 'The Age'.

The Indian team arrived here to play a Twenty20 match against Australia that will get underway on February 1.

India will then start their One-Day campaign from February 3 against the hosts with Sri Lanka being the third side in the series.

Sridhar expressed Indians' satisfaction with the lifting of racial charges against Harbhajan Singh and said the team is keen to perform well in the upcoming ODI series.

''After what happened on Tuesday, we're going forward so that the game goes on,'' he said.
