Sri Lanka win toss, bowl in first test v Bangladesh

COLOMBO, June 25 (Reuters) Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl in the first test of the three-match series against Bangladesh at the Sinhalese Sports Club today.

Opening batsman Malinda Warnapura makes his debut for Sri Lanka with regular openers Sanath Jayasuriya, Marvan Atapattu and Upul Tharanga all unavailable.

Opener Javed Omar recovered from a virus in time to make the starting XI for Bangladesh, who will be captained for the first time by 22-year-old Mohammad Ashraful.
