Sreesanth, Munaf undergo fitness tests

Bangalore, Jan 19 (UNI) The injured pace duo S Sreesanth and Munaf Patel today underwent fitness tests at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) here under the watchful eyes of NCA Director for Operations Dav Whatmore.

It was the second round of tests for the two speedsters who missed the tour to Australia. While Sreesanth is recovering from a shoulder injury, Munaf was asked to regain match fitness by playing in domestic cricket. However, he did not turn up to play for Maharashtra in the last two games Ranji trophy Elite division.

Whatmore would be submitting a report to the BCCI on the fitness levels of the two speedsters before the selectors name the one-day squad tomorrow for the triangular series in Australia also featuring Sri Lanka.

NCA support staff Paul Close and Paul Chapman were also present during the physical tests.
