Speaker congratulates Team India on series victory after 24 years

New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee has congratulated the Indian cricket team on winning the one-day series against Pakistan after a gap of 24 years.

In a message, Mr Chatterjee said, ''I am confident that the team effort being displayed consistently by the Indian cricketers will secure us victory in the upcoming test series as well.'' The Speaker also complimented skipper M S Dhoni and the team members for their praiseworthy performance in the ongoing series.

India pocketed the five-match series 3-1 yesterday at Gwalior , with a six-wicket win over their arch rivals. The last match of the series will be played at Jaipur on Sunday.
