Shibika Francis to lead Vidarbha women's cricket team

Nagpur, Oct 2 (UNI) Shibika Francis will lead Vidarbha in the first two matches of the Central Zone Senior Women's Cricket tournament to be held later this month.

Vidarbha will play Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh at Jaipur and Agra respectively from October 10 to 17, according to a Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) release here today.

Priyanka Acharya will be the vice-captain of the team. The other players include Meenakshi Verulkar, Rachana Mange, Neha Dabli, Smita Nampalliwar, Shweta Naidu, Soniya Rajoriya, Ankita Guha, Aparna Ghugre, Priyanka Hadke, Nama Khobragade, Mona Meshram, Komal Zanzad and Swati Naidu.

The stand-by players are Neha Elias, Divya Ramani, Nusrat Ali, Rubina Sheikh and G Sonone. V C Thool is the coach and Nilima Waghmare the trainer, the release added.
