The Hundred: Shaheen Afridi sends big warning to India, picks two wickets from his first two balls - Watch
Shaheen Afridi sent a massive warning signal to India ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 by picking back-to-back wickets with his first two balls in The Hundred. The 23-year-old is part of the Welsh Fire squad in his first-ever stint in The Hundred.
After Welsh Fire posted 94/3 in the rain-marred match which was reduced to a 40-ball per side affair, the left-arm pacer rattled Manchester Originals by reducing them to 0/2 on 2 balls.

Shaheen Afridi shines in The Hundred
Shaheen first dismissed Phil Salt by trapping him in front of the stumps before another LBW dismissal saw Laurie Evans get out for a golden duck on the very next delivery.
The star pacer has developed an uncanny knack of striking early and sending shivers down the spine of the opposition with his raw pace and accurate line and length. In total, Shaheen leaked 24 runs on the next eight balls to finish with figures of two wickets for 24 runs in 10 balls.
The performance from Shaheen comes at a time when India and Pakistan are set to lock horns with each other in Asia Cup 2023 on September 2 in Kandy. The two sides will very likely meet each other in continental showpiece event for the second time on September 10.
Shaheen was earlier part of the Vitality Blast 2023 where he picked 22 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 20.81. With form and rhythm on his side, India would be wary of the dangerous pacer who rattled the Indian top-order and guided his team to a win in the T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai.
