New Delhi, Sep 4: Team India completed their second overseas whitewash in a limited-overs series after defeating Sri Lanka by six wickets in the fifth and final ODI.

Leading from the front, India's charismatic skipper Virat Kohli scored another ODI hundred to remain undefeated at 110 as Men In Blue comfortably chased down a below-par total of 239.

Run machine, Kohli slammed his career's 30th ODI to equal former Australia captain Ricky Ponting's record and now he's only behind his idol Sachin Tendulkar's world record of 49 hundreds.

Team India have dominated their Sri Lankan counterparts on the entire tour and they would be hoping to continue their winning momentum as they get ready for the one-off T20 encounter on September 6.

It was the Indian skipper who hit the winning runs with his bat after his predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni, in a sweet gesture, nudged the ball to take a single and gave him the strike in stead of finishing on his own.

Later, Dhoni took the entire side for a joy ride in the car, presented to the man of the series Jasprit Bumrah, around the park. The entire cricket team climbed on the car and enjoyed the ride.
