Security provided to Dhoni's parents after fans vandalse his house

Ranchi, Mar 18 (UNI) Security had been provided to the parents of star wicketkeeper-batsman Mahindra Singh Dhoni after agitated cricket fans vandalsied his house and damaged its boundary wall today in the Jharkhand capital here.

Senior Suprintendent of Police Manvinder Singh Bhatia told UNI that security of the cricketer's present home had been tightened as his parents were living in that house located at the Mecon colony in that state capital.

Dhoni's parents had, however, not asked for any security, but it was done to face any untoward incident, SSP added Earlier, enraged over the poor performance of Dhoni in the first match against Bangladesh, cricket fanatics vandalisd his under-construction house and damaged its boundry wall.

Yesterday Dhoni returned to the pavillion without making any run against Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, police sources said no complaint was lodged in this regard.

The piece of land was alloted to Dhoni by the erstwhile NDA government led by Arjun Munda and the Ranchi Regional Development had recently passed the map for the proposed house to be constructed on that plot.
