Security personnel and sports officials clash before IPL match

Jaipur, May 9 (UNI) Tension prevailed at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, the venue of today's IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers, for sometime following a tiff between security personnel and Rajasthan Sports Council staff here.

The security personnel and the sports council staff members clashed this afternoon as the former disallowed parking of the latter's vehicles in view of the match to be held this evening.

The ensuing clash led to damages to vehicles of some of the council personnel. Agitated over the security staff's attitude, the sports council officials locked several of the entry gates of the stadium.

Later, Rajasthan Cricket Association(RCA) office bearers intervened in the matter and pacified the agitated sports council staff to ensure smooth conduction of the match.
