Security beefed up at Sachin's residence
Mumbai, Mar 24: Police today beefed up its security arrangements at Sachin Tendulkar's residence at Bandra, north east Mumbai in the wake of India's humiliating loss to Sri Lanka in the crucial World Cup match.
Police said that in anticipation of the fan wrath on Sachin and his family members, they have decided to beef up the security at his residence. No person would be allowed to enter Sachin's house without permission from the security personnel.
Police will also provide escort to Sachin's family members whenever they venture out of their residence.
The man with the highest number of runs in World Cup did himself no good, getting bowled for a duck when the team needed him most.
Sachin is likely to return to India only on Monday after the Bangladesh-Bermuda match.
