Sandeep, Sachin, Sameer, Neeraj make it to the semis

Pune, May 3 (UNI) Neeraj Kumar of Central Railway Mumbai, Sameer Bidwai of Gamers Anonymous, Sachin Sancheti of 147 Snooker Club and Sandeep Gulati of Delhi entered the semifinals of the Rs 2.10 lakh second Poona Club Limited-Manisha Open and Invitational Snooker Championship here.

In the quarters played today, Neeraj Kumar knocked out Tonny D'Silva of PGI 59-45, 85-32, 69-23. Kumar scored a break of 67 in the second frame, the highest in the tournament so far. Sameer Bidwai struggled past Shivam Arora of PYC in a thriller 50-45, 28-63, 58-33, 57-27.

In other interesting matches of the day, Sachin Sancheti ousted Sunny Dawar of Mumbai 56-48, 69-50, 48-34. Sandeep Gulati of Delhi scored a 82-11, 38-36, 7-61, 66-11 straight frames victory over Mohan Jagtap of Poona Club.

In the semis, Sandeep Gulati will clash with Sachin Sancheti, while Sameer Bidwai will clash with Neeraj Kumar.
