SAfrica win toss, elect to bat in 1st ODI

Durban, Jan 12 (PTI) South African skipper Graeme Smithwon the toss and elected to bat first against India in thefirst one-dayer here today.

For India, Piyush Chawla, R Ashwin, S Sreesanth and UmeshYadav have failed to make the final XI, while veteran SachinTendulkar will play his first ODI in close to a year.
