Rousing reception for Hyderabadi rebel cricketers

Hyderabad, Aug 21 (UNI) A rousing reception was accorded to the eight Hyderabadi rebel cricketers after they arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) here from Mumbai today.

Supporters of the cricketers garlanded them and raised slogans ICL zindabad and Kapil Dev zindabad.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supporters, who came to the airport beating drums and raising slogans to receive party Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu as if their leader had come, had to beat a hasty retreat on seeing the cricketers.

Meanwhile, the rebel cricketers refused to speak to the media, but it was learnt that they were happy to be in the big league with the likes of Brian Lara, Inzamamul Haq and Lance Klusener.
