Rohit Sharma Wants Rahul Dravid to Continue as India Coach; Urged Legend to Stay
In a recent revelation, the Indian cricket team's captain Rohit Sharma disclosed his earnest attempts to persuade Rahul Dravid to continue as the head coach, a post he will relinquish at the end of the T20 World Cup 2024.
Rohit Sharma expressed on the eve of the Ireland match in New York: "I tried to convince him to stay on but he was not prepared." This revelation comes in the wake of the announcement of Rahul Dravid's departure from the Indian cricket team made 24 hours ago.

Rahul Dravid confirmed that this tournament would mark his final assignment as the head coach of the Indian cricket team, with the BCCI already searching for his successor, set to take charge from July 1 with Gautam Gambhir reported as the leading contender.
Dravid emphasised that every game he has coached for India has been important to him, expressing his dedication to coaching and the significance of each game. He stated, "Every tournament is important. Every game that I've coached for India has been very important for me.
"So for me, this is no different just because it is going to be the last one that I'm in charge of," reflecting the weight he places on each match 1."
