Ranji: Vidarbha stun MP

Indore, Feb 22 (UNI) A blazing unbeaten knock of 129 off 150 balls by opened Faizal helped Vidarbha humble Madhya Pradesh by eight wickets in a Central Zone Ranji league one-dayer at the Usha Raje Cricket Ground here today.

After winning the toss, the hosts opted to wield the willow and scored 271/7 in the allotted 50 overs. Mohnish Mishra (110) slammed four sixes and sent the cherry hurtling to the ropes no less than six times. Shadad Khan scored 58.

For Vidarbha, the wicket-takers were Sandeep Singh (2), Alind Naidu (2), M Acharya (2) and Mohammad Hashim (1).

Faizal's innings included two sixes and 13 boundaries. Umar Afzal (58) and Harshal Shitoot (46) were other high scorers while Naidu remained unbeaten at 12. The victors earned four points.
