Punjab Kings Record Highest Successful Run Chase In T20 Cricket: Punjab Kings created history on Friday (April 26) by recording the highest successful run-chase in T20 history.

Punjab Kings ended up chasing 262 with utmost ease in their match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Jonny Bairstow slammed a 45-ball hundred, and Shashank Singh chipped in with unbeaten 68 off 28. Prabhsimran Singh (54 off 20) smashed an 18-ball fifty at the top.

Punjab Kings won the match with eight wickets and eight balls remaining to break the record which was previously held by South Africa. The Proteas had gunned down 259 against West Indies in Centurion in 2023. Quinton de Kock had smashed 100 off 44 balls in the match.

Multan Sultans (MS) are at sixth in the list of teams to chase down the highest total in T20 history. In PSL 2023, Multan Sultans chased 243 against Peshawar Zalmi. Rilee Rossouw, who scored 26 off 16 for Punjab in the record chase on Friday, scored 121 off 51 for Multan.
