President praises Team India for winng Junior Asia Cup

New Delhi, Jul 19 (UNI) The Indian Junior Men's hockey team today received a pat on the back from President Pratibha Patil for their successful defence of the Asia Cup title.

''The dramatic win in the final proves that Indian youngsters have the ability to fight back in extremely tense situations and this augers well for the future of Indian hockey,'' the President said in a message.

She also praised young dragflicker Diwakar Ram who emerged as the hero in the final after scoring a two goals including the match winner.
