President Patil congratulates Jhulan for winning ICC award
New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil has congratulated Jhulan Goswami on winning the International Cricket Council's Cricketer of the Year award.
The President said, ''The award will be a special milestone for women's cricket in India and the nation is proud of her achievement.'' Jhulan was on Monday named the ICC Woman Cricketer of the Year 2007, beating stiff challenge from Aussie Lisa Sthalekar and Claire Taylor of England.
